Modalities
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT uncovers patterns of thinking or behaviors that may be causing emotional distress in your life. We will deconstruct these thought patterns and work together to identify healthier thoughts and behaviors. We will focus on improving your emotional regulation and developing healthy coping skills.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
TF-CBT approaches traumatic events in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. We will learn how trauma has impacted your relationship with yourself, others, and your world view. We will identify healthy strategies to cope with trauma reminders and develop new relationship with the traumatic events.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)
MSC explores the use of mindfulness and self- compassion. We will turn inwards to acknowledge difficult thoughts and feelings and learn to practice curiosity, patience, and understanding. We will explore your inner voice that may be critical or harsh and slowly transform into a kind and supportive friend.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
MBSR focuses on meditation and mindfulness practices to address stress, anxiety, depression and pain. We will learn to connect to our body and practice a non-judgmental awareness around thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. These skills will help you interrupt habitual reactions and create opportunities to respond differently to difficult emotions.
